Brief History & background of our community:
During 1983 Pujya Gurudev Shraman Sanghiya Mahamantri Shree Soubhagya Muni Ji M. S. has dreamt for all Mewadi Sthanakwasi Jain family and to be unite and co- operate each other and accordingly guided for formation of Shri Mewad Sangh, Mumbai.
After formation of Mewad Sangh Mumbai named as Shri Vardhman Sthanakwasi Jain Shravak Sangh Mumbai, Gurudev Shree guided all disciple/members of shri sangh to acquire their own places for various social activities. Based on guidance and blessings, many members took initiative and till now acquired 20 odd places in Mumbai & Mumbai Suburbs named as Sadhana Sadan. Day by day number of members were increasing and it has become a necessity to have one big place of it’s own in or around Mumbai which can accommodate maximum number of members to carry out social as well religious/charitable activities for the benefits of public at large.
All prominent and dedicated office bearers and members of Mewad Sangh has made Hercules task for acquisition of a building at Goregaon East, Mumbai & also decided to form a separate trust for acquisition and maintain such huge property. After due deliberation and lot of discussion it was decided to form the trust named as “Shri Ambesh Soubhagya Mewad Charitable Trust”. The property which was identified to be acquired was named as “MEWAD BHAVAN” and it was inaugurated on 17th July 2013 in the august presence of Pujya Gurudev Shraman Sanghiya Mahamantri Shree Sobhagya Muni Ji M. S. aadi thana.
The trust is successfully running the Mewad Bhavan which has a full floor for religious activities and other 2 floor for charitable/social activities.
Pujya Gurudev Shree used to say that the future of any society becomes bright only when new generation study and educate to make themselves self dependant. and has intense desire to build education institute or accommodation facility in Mumbai.
Accordingly the office bearers and trustee of Shree Ambesh Sobhagya Mewad Chartiable Trust has decided to acquire a building at Pump house, Andheri East, Mumbai for students accommodation facility which named as “DILIP NABERA MEWAD HOSTEL” (Hostel).
The Trust is given on overall grooming and character building of Students. Induction program is being organized on admission of new students. Proper Attention is given to every student’s Problems and appropriate solution is suggested to them. Currently Hostel provides Separate bed, study table, wardrobe etc. for each student in the rooms and hygienic Jain food facility.
